BetterMerch is built for independent retailers and small multi-location chains. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it. We aim to be plain and honest.

What you store

You upload product catalogs, planograms, store layouts, and sales data to build your merchandising plans. This data belongs to your company. It is scoped to your company workspace and never shared across customers. You can export or delete your data at any time.

Account information

We store your name, email, and company name to manage your account, seats, and authentication. We use authentication providers (email/password and optional Google or Microsoft sign-in) to verify identity.

Billing

Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number — Stripe handles payment securely. We retain your subscription tier and status to enable your features.

Connectors & credentials

If you connect an external product or sales feed, any API keys or secrets you enter are submitted only to our backend and stored encrypted. They are never returned to the browser and are masked in the UI.

Analytics

We collect anonymized usage events (such as pricing views and signups) to improve the product. We do not sell your data.
